Outdoor Movie Night

We will have our Outdoor Movie Night tomorrow night from 8:30-11PM outside of the offices on the hill.  Popcorn and drinks will be served.  Bring your own lawn chair or blanket to sit on.  The two movies to vote on are The Lion King vs. The Sandlot. 

Serve Week

We will be headed out tomorrow morning to Pasadena, TX for Serve Week 2012.  We will be painting (inside & outside) a house and garage, putting in a flower bed, moving a small tree, putting in a wheel chair ramp.  There are a total of 32 of us going.  What I want our students to remember is that missions is not about a project, missions is about people.  Anyone can go and paint someones house, put in a flower bed... but the people that we will interact with are much more important. 
Please pray for us as we travel, minister to this lady, interact with others and for our own personal growth.

Exposed: The Naked Truth About Sex- Week 4

This week we conclude our series entitled: Exposed!  The Naked Truth About Sex.  This is our last Collide for the Spring Semester.  Our next Collide will be June 13th and we will be going to Stovall Park to pass out waters and hang out there.  I will update you to where we will be for Wednesday nights this summer as the date draws closer.

Exposed! The naked Truth About Sex Week 3

We will continue our study about sex.  This week we will look at the question: What went wrong? This world has told us lies when it comes to sex and looks.  We will be talking about four lies that the world tells us BUT look at what God tells us.

Exposed! The Naked Truth About Sex Week 2

Last week we introduced this series with a little game of Love Connection!  A huge shout out goes to the Laymance's who took 1st place, Winkle's who took 2nd place and the Ward's who took 3rd place.

This week we jump into the first part of this Bible Study and talk about the question What was God thinking?  For this we have to go back to the basics.

Love Connection

To introduce our last Topic Series for the semester we are going to play a little game of Love Connection, it is more of The Newly Wed Game but to better fit the theme I changed the title to Love Connection.  We are beginning a series called Exposed: The Naked Truth About Sex and to introduce the topic we have three couples that will be competing in a series of questions about their marriage and at the end talk about a Godly relationship and relationships.  This topic was going to our theme for Disciple Now but I thought that doing this at a later date was better.

Lawn Care

Tonight for Collide, we will be going out and serving by doing a little lawn service for people in our church.  Special time tonight, 6-8PM.  We will have the students back by 8PM.  Next week we start a new series entitled Exposed: God's Plan for Sex.

Bully

I went today to see the documentary entitled Bully.  It was a great documentary exposing the effects of bullying and what is being done about it.  I think that this would be a great documentary to see with your teenager and then discuss it with them.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.  Below is the trailer for the documentary.  It is now showing at the AMC in the Parks Mall.  This documentary is rated PG-13. ***WARNING*** there is some pervasive and crude language in this documentary.

Elder Serve

Tonight we will be going out and serving/ visiting some of our Elderly in our church. This is a great time for our students to interact with such amazing people. There is a lot of wisdom that our students can learn from these people.
